Race tracks in Northern California
I've been wanting to take the GTV to a track for a while, but Laguna Seca only lets club events reserve the track. So I'm looking for another track somewhere in California that can be easily driven to and back in a day with about 2 hours in between. Can some other Californians recommend some tracks?

Re: Race tracks in Northern California
most of the clubs will have track days where anyone can bring a car to the track and run it in an untimed event. A lot of times there will be instructors to ride in your car with you and classroom sessions as part of the program.
Look at what your local SCCA and NASA chapters run at laguna seca and infineon. Also check out clubs like BMWCCA, PCA, etc.
