Interesting news from Detroit Auto Show. New Corvette will have offer a manual 7-speed with automatic rev matching. This feature can be turned off. What do people here think about this? My own take is that it's a good thing, so long as the auto rev match can be turned off. New features that make manual transmissions more accessible to consumers are a good thing.

There have been a few threads about it (in other cars), such as this one:

Like I said with the 370Z, I don't really have a problem with it as long as it can be turned off. Imagine how much it would suck if there wasn't a way to turn it off... You'd never be able to do your own rev-matching.

Interesting about the 370Z. I had no idea such technology existed until I saw the article about the new Corvette.

Oh yeah, it's been around for a while now. The 370Z guys seem to like it. In all honesty, I'd probably never use it myself, simply because I enjoy doing my own rev-matching. Maybe I'd play around with it once in a blue moon or if I was feeling really lazy or something.JusCruzin wrote:Interesting about the 370Z.
