Is Third Pedal An Anti Theft Device

Post by Bill B »

Forget about the high tech car alarms. Most people are just annoyed at the noise and pay little attention. That shift pattern on your gearshift might save you from becoming a victim of car theives. Article at link if interested.

Well, still WIN, because they may have shot him in the face, but they didn't smoke his clutch or clash his synchros, right?

^ ...and mind 3rd gear on a cold day - the synchro is a little weak. Make sure you don't put any cheap gas in it and for gosh sakes change the oil every 3000 miles, using Mobil 1 and a big-honkin filter. Wash the undercarriage weekly and mind the tire pressures.

Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

I would say that most people who are smart enough to get into a car could drive a three peddler.

However, I think its a good security device to keep your friends from messing with your car.
Hell, one jumped in mine one day and couldn't figure out how to start it and gave up
