From sewing machines to Porsches

Every car enthusiast has that one car that is the reason for his or her piston-powered passion. For me, it was my dad's 1969 Porsche 911 T. Yes, it didn't run in the cold, and I burned my shin on the exhaust pipe walking around the back of that car enough times for permanent scarring, but I loved it. Nothing beat a warm spring day going on a cruise in that car, even if I couldn't drive just yet. I can still smell the car cover, and feel the excitement of pulling it off, and what that meant was going to happen next.

I haven't really sat and dwelled on these memories for some time, though. While I still admire and fully respect the Porsche brand, there's just something different about the water-cooled, priced-just-out-of-reach nature of modern Carreras. That is until I laid my eyes on the images you see here.
Just pure pornography.

Nothing? Come on people, this is the most epic 911 of all 911's, which is to say it's the ultimate, ultimate sports car.

I want it so badly. I actually dreamed about it once. I dreamt it was a sunny morning in front of my girlfriend's house and I pulled away on her street and it drove and shifted perfectly. It was the orange prototype.

I would gladly take either. Or both, preferably.

Those have to be the cleanest lines I've ever seen on a car. Just awesome.

Not a big fan....if I squint and look at the picture, it looks a lot like an old VW Beetle

You don't see it? Look at the greenhouse...and the headlights. Totally looks like it was inspired by the old Beetle.

That's because...it was? What's your point? It looks like a sleek powerful sports car.

Point is what I already said-- if I look at the picture and squint, I see an old VW Beetle. Sorry that I don't share you enthusiasm for the old 911s.
