When they abandoned the S10/Sonoma in favor of the Colorado/Canyon, the market was very different. Lots of people still had money to waste and fuel economy still wasn't a concern despite rising fuel prices. Appearance was 100% of selling vehicles rather than the 99% it is now, and big was the appearance everybody wanted.

I thought it was a questionable idea at the time, but when it was all said and done the new trucks weren't really that much bigger, they just have styling cues that make them look bigger. They are, as any new model is, somewhat heavier (10% for the base model).

I'm not a big fan of small trucks but I dislike the slightly larger small trucks more. The compromise-sized truck doesn't seem to fit any niche really well, while the original compact pickup size is a perfect fit for a few important niches.

This is what an El Camino would look like if you beat it senseless with an ugly stick.

Front end looks like it took and ugly stick to the face. Fix that and I'd quit bitching. I just can't see that front end with the ass end that it has on it. Oh, and that is quite decidedly not a pretty color.

No, I just prefer cars like that to have more of a sleeper look, and a color that doesn't look like a baby threw up peas all over the place.

The motorcycle appears to be on a slope, the way I see it.

The front end looks like a Mitsubishi to me.

The color is awful. I'm not sure how I feel about the wheels. I'm no big fan of the vent behind the front wheels. I rather dislike the angles/shapes at the back of the cab and the top of the bed.

I'd still roll it, even if it was more ugly.

It appears to me the biker IS looking where he's going. It appears he's riding around a berm shaped something like part of a bowl. It's the centripetal force giving him the traction to stay there.
