Looks like a cool car! I think the 4-speed (3 speed with O/D) fits it well. Was probably sourced from a Plymouth or Doge variant. http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/172203349597?roken=cUgayN

That has to be about as rare as one of the Grand Cherokees with a 3rd pedal. It might be rare, but did anyone notice the buy it now price of almost $35,000.

What's comical is the condition really isn't that great. It's not like its a Cuda...

Still, pretty cool

I remember the Dodge Aspen/Plymouth Volare could be had with the 4 speed and the 225 cid 6. That's what I had in my 1980 Dodge D150.

My parents had a 1976 Dodge Aspen with an automatic and the 225 Six. The Two front fenders had to be replaces (under warranty) because they rusted right away. That car always seemed to have a hesitation. Might have been from the 70's pollution control devices. Probably the worst car they ever owned.

I had a 1979 Dodge Aspen wagon for a company car, also had the 6 and automatic. Of course back then the automatics were just 3 speeds, 3rd gear being direct drive. A neighbor had a Dodge Aires with a manual transmission, probably with the 2.2L 4. I actually had a minivan with the same drive train, an '85 Dodge Caravan with a 5 speed manual. Very rare when I bought it over 15 years ago. Mostly drove it around town and averaged around 20 mpg.
