Post 'em up. Movies or TV shows not about cars/racing/etc.

Rocky IV. The Lamborghini Jalpa that Rocky drives.

Many of the Bond movies qualify.

There's an extended gear-grinding sequence in the telephone repair van in The Spy Who Loved Me.

The 2CV gets push-started in For Your Eyes Only.

For some reason those are the ones that stick with me, despite knowing the recurring DB5 is a manual, and I'm sure there are others.

Then, of course, there's the Jeep scene in Jurassic Park where the terrible advice to use fifth gear is given.

There's a very emphatic shift in the Raiders of the Lost Ark truck chase scene.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The only reason I remember is because the sound dubbing is so out of sync with the motions that it's comical.

not necessarily a non-automotive movie, but this one cannot not be mentioned:

Eagle Eye. There's an extended car chase that involves a manual Porsche Cayenne, and a brick joke about it later on in the movie.

In the short-lived TV-show Alcatraz, the finale features an extended product-placement sequence reminiscent of Bullitt that involves a manual 2013 Ford Mustang 5.0.

Is this a trick question? Almost all cars I see in movies/tv are manual because they make the actor look cool when they downshift and accelerate. lol

An interesting tidbit, that you may or may not know, is that that Impala from Jeepers Creepers was converted to a floor shifted manual after starting life as a column selected automatic. The directors figured it would create more tension when the car wouldn't go into gear since neither Derry nor his sister were very good at driving it.

Yes, I watched the Special Features.

I think we watch many of the same movies.

Random fun thing that I learned today: the DB5s that exploded/were damaged in Skyfall were 1:3 scale models printed on 3D printers.

Another movie that comes to mind is the Bourne Identity. While trying to confirm what vehicle he drove during the Paris chase scene, I stumbled upon this website: Internet Movie Car Database. That seems pretty awesome - thought I haven't checked to see how in depth it is.

I didn't know it existed. Seems pretty cool at a brief glance. Also, I can see a trend in your cars increasing in size (with the exception of the bus)...

Good question. I vaguely recall some rationale, but it's been so long since I watched the special features that I can't think of it.
