Is it me or does the new Toyota Corolla look familiar?

I was looking at autoguide and stumbled upon an article for the new 2014 toyota corolla.

This was the pic for the article



This is the axio but it's the same thing as the corolla here.

A real corolla is here to keep people asleep at night



Is it me or does it look like a Dodge Dart and the previous generation Subaru Impreza combined? With the headlights that swoop down at the end.



What are your thoughts?

It looks like a wad of compact car, but there's nothing wrong with that. I've tried for years to understand the Toyota hate on the interwebz, but have so far failed to figure it out.

I have a wad of compact car, my brother has a wad of compact car, and my dad has a wad of compact car. I think I'm becoming the carmudgen who thinks everything looks the same. o_0

It's funny a TC commercial came on and it instantly reminded me of this thread I made lol.

I personally think you're wrong. The Focus looks different, the civic is a bit too flashy for me and kind of reminds me of the corolla aswell. There are cars out there in the compact market that are definitely different. The lancer, the 3, the list goes on.

I would agree, the pictures look at least a bit similar. As soon as we get one in, I'll try to get some pictures up and take one for a drive.
