vs. Ford GT

I went to Italian Car Day yesterday here in Atlanta in my '88 Fiero GT. Saw some good cars....but the drive back was just as fun. Also there at the show was a C6 Corvette Z06 and a new Ford GT. Going back towards Marietta me and my friend played around with the Z06 and Ford GT a little bit. We must've drove together for about 15 miles. Anyways, I did kind of get lined up at a light with the Ford GT. I revved at him, he looked over and it was on  . I didn't really get on it that much in 1st, but I hit 2nd and floored it. He wasn't really being serious but he DID give it a bit of gas, and made me look stupid in my best accelerating gear. He was probably only using 1/2 throttle too....

Was fun though. Nothing like driving around with a new Z06 and a Ford GT for a few miles on the highway. Good looking cars too, they really do look better when they're being driven.

I don't think the GT he was talking about was a Stang, but the "Ferrari Killer" itself. The re-encarnated GT(40).

Yeah, it wasn't a Ford Mustang GT, it was a Ford GT (like the Ford GT40). Truly badass car, its mid-engine RWD and has like a 500 hp supercharged V8.

I wouldn't...

Its still a ford.

how much are they? aren't they like 150k? with that, I'd buy a 911 turbo, and a decked out TTZ and a decked out Miata, and a monster offroading jeep.

and then my life would be complete.

Oh yeah. I doubt I would ever buy it. There are so many cheaper cars I would rather have.

yeah... if you're going to buy a car and deck it out, you're just paying an insane amount of money for the body. engines are actually pretty cheap (compared to the car), so buying a used car for 5k and putting another 5k into the engine will get you a nice and fast car...

I love the Ford GT. I'd buy that over any similarly priced car any day.

Even American-Hater Clarkson had to admit it and even bought one for himself!!

And, if you're not gentle on it, the worst mileage in the ever, proved by Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear.
