It's not like you had a choice. They don't come in manual.

Re: Jerking back and forth when getting car going from stop (N to 1st)

Some call this effect the "bucking bronco". Usually, when this happens to me (still happens on rare occasions, believe it or not), I just clutch in and shift to second and "relaunch". Not a big deal at all, only bruises your ego a bit. With practice, it becomes a once-in-a-blue-m...

Not to mention, 6 speeds. If it was my previous car, that would be a V6 and a 6-disc CD changer too.

Re: Frustration and stress and this isn't even a marriage issue

Your paragraph for new manual drivers is good, kudos. As for your point #2 in your original post, 1.5k is a little high, but not too high for someone starting out like you. And I know what I'm about to say might sound like Greek to you initially, you'll learn to do this naturally as time moves on: I...

Re: Worried about "drivetrain stress"

I get it :) It is a question of degree, there are violent oscillations like downshifting into 2nd while at 40km/h and treating the clutch like an on/off switch and than there are small oscillations when switching from acceleration to engine braking and things like that Well, you have to be careful ...

Re: Odd Vehicles With A Manual Trans

I forgot about the Mazda6 V6. I wonder how one of those would be to drive. I really want a v6 car but the only coupe is the v6 Accord available with a stick. OR an older Solara v6 5 speed lmao. My first car was a 2005 Mazda6 5-door V6, but with an auto. I kicked myself everyday for not getting the ...

There's a guy that lives a street over from me that has a black SS. It's a manual, thank Dog, and I've seen him driving it a few times. If the dude is ever outside when I'm walking past with the dog, I'm totally asking about it.
Awesome! :)

Re: six's 2015 Chevrolet SS Sedan 6MT

One Year Update I can't believe it's already been a year since I've gotten my SS :) :) (tomorrow is the one-year anniversary). Highlights This car is as fun as ever, and now that I've gotten the hang of it, I haul major ass, and doing it quite invisibly as well. This car does not draw any attention...
