No 6-speed manual offered on the new Speedster... :(

Not that I'll ever be able to afford it, but I'm not liking this trend!

Re: Unpredictable RPM During Shifts

Maybe I'm pointing out the obvious, but have you been using your air conditioning recently? This will make a huge difference in how your car feels and how quickly your RPMs drop. The less powerful your engine is, the more you'll notice that. Also, like you said, your RPMs will definitely drop more q...

Wow, that's a beautiful place. What brings you to all these exotic locations you often mention?

I would almost rather buy from a private seller if he was the private owner because then you can see what kind of a guy he was..he's not the typical sales men that would bs you to make a quick buck. When you test drove it did he allow you to drive the car? Also if your a bit young..not sure your ag...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Warner, you and your sti OK? Baseball size hail here now. All cars not.hidden under car ports are severely damaged with broken windows. I hid mine away, thankfully. Scary shit. Good to hear you/yours is safe. No hail here yet. I'm at work for another hour and then I'm speeding home to my parking ga...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Changed the oil in my STI last night in a friend's garage (I don't have tools or space :( ). Lots of people on NASIOC seem to love Shell Rotella T6 (synth 5w40), so I figured I'd give that a shot. I might go to Motul 300v next time, but that's more expensive and not as readily available as Rotella T6.

Re: Double clutching a 1954 GMC Cannonball

It looks to me like the right gear shifter controls the "sub gears" (for lack of a better term) of the left gear shifter. Every time he shifted the left one, he started the right one back at the beginning. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like.

Don't let the price deter you from looking at it if you're interested. Many of these guys who post ridiculous prices are actually willing to accept much lower offers. Good example: the guy who was selling my STI. Were you concerned about the type of person the previous owner was? Like if the car wa...

Re: Greetings from Southwest Ohio

Welcome and nice Subie! Buying that car before you knew how to drive a manual was a ballsy move! No worries, though; the more you get used to driving a manual, the more you'll be happy you bought one. Anyway, feel free to ask any questions you have.

Re: Potownrob's 02 Impreza 2.5TS

Apparently the tire pressure Subaru recommends seems low to a lot of people. My STI recommends something like 36f/30r, but I hear that most people run the tires at around 38/36.

Re: Do you know cars? Try to ID these two

The plastic shrouding around exaust tips are similar-looking for a lot of cars.. I'm stumped :( Maybe noob5m can come up with the answer. I would have to resort to guessing [or cheating]. You're telling me you haven't been using Google this entire time? You're much better than me. How would y...
