Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Oh jeez. Nancy looks just like one of my kitties. So sorry for your loss, noob! I hope you know she had a good life, despite it being a short one. Any pet that can come back to a caring home is one that's well off.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
It's my last day of work at the old job! Feels a bit weird clearing out my desk and taking all my stuff off the walls. I've got almost a week left in town where I'm not working and just tying up all the loose ends, then getting into the car for the road trip up to Portland. Shit's gettin' real.

Re: Let's see your knives!
I have a SOG Flash-II that I absolutely love. Assisted open, great build quality, thoughtful features, awesome looks. http://i.imgur.com/pwpvBcml.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FJPPlCCl.jpg It used to be my EDC, but it serves as my primary camping knife as well, and has dulled with a few years' use. I don't...

Re: What is the most powerful car you have driven?
Yeah, all the Japanese cars that have graced my stable in the past were slightly under stated displacement. Very slightly, mind you... my Sentras' GA16 engines were something like 1,596cm^3 and my Accord's J30 engine was 2,997 or so. The round up correctly, but always come just shy of the stated size.

Re: What is the most powerful car you have driven?
Most powerful car I've driven on the street was a friend's B6 Audi S4 - the 344hp V8 model. Comfortable as hell, and pulled like a sonofabitch. My fiancée's dad has a 1,700hp drag car Frankenstein'd out of a '74 Corvette Stingray. He promised that I can drive that thing any time I want to, but I thi...

I'd actually believe it if it were an x-runner - there's a serious enthusiast market for those.

Re: Poll: How old are you
I'm just under a month away from 33. Feels the same as 26; will probably feel the same at 35... I think my whole bracket applies.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
I heard that it was actually solid ice on the roads, not a dusting of snow. People should avoid driving if they're gonna be in over their heads... it just sucks because those who started out on the roads knew so little about their skills that they couldn't even estimate that they were in over their ...

Re: Revised M3/M4 Manual Transmission
I think it's good from a manufacturer's standpoint - many drivers out there don't bother to learn these techniques, and if it's something that will keep transmissions in better condition for more of the car's life, it helps the company's bottom line down the road. As long as it's always defeatable, ...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Was it awful at its job (incorrectly revving), or just awful to experience a car that did it for you?
