It doesn't make any sense to me. A heavier knob would require more work to move (force=mass*accelleration so greater mass means more force). Of course, it would also require more work to stop, so maybe that's why. I dunno. My guess is that it only feels different but isn't actually.

Other than that I can't help you. My sis and I only shared a room for about a week before our folks got sick of the screaming fights. We're twins, though, so the dynamic is a bit different. I would guess that ignoring her would work well.

I'm of the opinion that 2 things should be entirely socialized in the US, healthy care, and education. That's just my opinion, though.
