Re: Cosmin's 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Dude, nice! I actually seriously considered buying a Miata before I bought my STI. My friend has a '99 Miata and those things are tons of fun! Like go-carts on rails.

Warner's STI

Hey, guys. Here are some pics of my new (for me) 2007 STI with 57k miles! I signed all the paperwork today and it's now mine :) . These are the pics from the Autotrader page. Also, what do you guys think about the black wheels (picture below)? I can't decide whether or not I like them. Included in t...

Re: Goodbye, Geo Prizm

^^The XRS actually sold right before I went to look at it. Good news, though, guys! I just made a deal for that Black '07 STI I mentioned. I'm going to the bank with the owner tomorrow to hopefully get all the paperwork done. At worst, I'll be done with it Monday, but I hope to have it tomorrow. I'l...

Re: All about your hobbies.

I've been into extreme-ish things for the past couple years. I got a PADI open water scuba diving certification, went skydiving (though I suppose doing that once doesn't count as a hobby), and now I've been rock climbing for the past 8ish months. I haven't been able to scuba dive at all since my cer...

Re: Goodbye, Geo Prizm

We are neighbors now, Warner. Oh, really? Yeah, I see that now. That's pretty cool. What happened to Chicago? IMO: DIY replace airbags from junkyard. It sounds scary but from what I've read it's really not hard. Continue enjoying Prizm. Otherwise you have to go with your instincts. A car that someo...

Goodbye, Geo Prizm

Hey, guys. Long time no see. I hope everyone is doing well! I don't know if anyone here remembers my white 1994 Geo Prizm, but it's the only car I've owned. I've had it for about 7 years (and it was bought new by my grandmother, so it's part of the family!) and it has served me well. Anyway, I hit a...

Re: What's your everyday carry?

The cell phone pretty much handles the watches function. Even without a cell, unless you live in a rural area, the current time is trivial to find. I carried a pocket watch for awhile as I don't like wristwatches... but I realized I didn't really need a timepiece at all. Word. Wristwatches are anno...

Re: What's your everyday carry?

^ How do you conceal that in the summer? Florida gets really hot, just like Texas, and there's no way I could conceal that in the summer. I probably don't wear enough clothing like 8 months out of the year for that to work. I would really like to avoid a pocket holster, but it's hard to conceal any ...

Re: What's your everyday carry?

Why is a gun so different than, say, my multitool? How often do I actually need to use the pliers? Not often, but I'm very happy when I do need them and have my multitool handy. You may argue that the likelihood of needing pliers is much higher than the likelihood of needing a gun, and you'd be righ...

Re: Why do seemingly unrelated processes spin up my external

Hm, yeah, maybe that's it. It's VLC and my entire external hard drive is literally filled with movies. You're probably right.

Why do seemingly unrelated processes spin up my external HD?

For example, I opened a movie file just now on one of my internal hard drives. When I double-clicked the file to open it, there was a long delay, followed by the sound of my external hard drive spinning up, after which the movie opened. Considering the movie is not on my external drive, why does my ...

Re: Who here shoots? (Gun related)

I would just like to say how super cheap 9mm is compared to .45, now that I'm actually lokoing at 9mm ammo. Dude, the two guns I own are chambered in .45 and .380. Both of those rounds cost a ton of money, though I don't really shoot my P3AT very often. The next gun I buy will probably be a .22 bol...
