Hey Tony,
Is that Eneloop battery an 18650, or a AA? For some reason I can't quite tell the size from the picture...

Oh, man, I remember that... Was that a dedicated thread, or is it just a couple thousand pages back in this one??

Hey Babe, Nice Set of Headlights! - From Autoline Daily: Audi, which has been a pioneer in LED lamps, is taking the next step with laser lamps, which will be an option on the R8. Laser lamps can be made smaller than LEDs, yet put out nearly twice as much light. Audi says you can spot them because t...

Re: New manuals...
FYI, there's a difference between a hydraulic clutch and a hydraulic clutch with a delay valve installed - kamesama980 and I were only ranting about the latter. It's basically a pressure regulator that limits the maximum rate of fluid transfer through the clutch's hydraulic system. The idea is that ...

Re: New manuals...
Spot-on rant/analysis! I saw the same change between my last two cars - only built 4 years apart, but by organizations with different design/engineering goals. The ZHP rolled off the line with all the nanny features you mentioned above; the good news, however, is that there are ways to compensate fo...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
I believe I decided on the bike I want. 2009-ish Honda Shadow 750cc. Very reliable, lower maintenance costs and a good buy-in price (read: cheap). Tomorrow I'll be looking at a couple with about 6k miles on them for under $5 grand. I got some insurance quotes and the Shadows are also cheap to insur...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Just busting balls, and I'm sure I'm going to get called out on some grammar sloppiness in return. As requested! "Him and me" is only appropriate at the end of a sentence, like: "that chat has been continuing between him and me". At the beginning of a sentence, however, it...

Re: rev-matching question
As long as we're not discussing a double-clutched shift, then the only thing we're trying to do is make sure the two sides of the engine/drivetrain interface are spinning as close to the same speed as possible at the time in which they make contact with each other . Meaning: "at the moment you'...
