Letting other people drive your car...

Do you let others drive your car? All of my friends have been BEGGING me to, but I reaaally don't want them to do anything weird to it... however, I really want to drive some of their cars, so, this is tricky. If you think they can't do much damage, what rules do you set for a manual driver? and for...

Ohhh myyy goshhh... I seriously have major, major problems with automatics. So one time, my car was getting an oil change, but I really needed to go somewhere, so I took my dad's car. So off I went, and it was really awkward because the brakes were super-sensitive so i just must have looked really r...

Yeah I took mine in the manual because I'd been driving it for practically a year, and I only drove the automatic once during that whole time, lol, so I probably would have made a really uncomfortable ride.

Yeah, this used to happen to me a lot... the grinding... it turned out my car was built to only engage reverse after being in neutral for 3 seconds, which actually ended up being more like three MINUTES, which was REALLY annoying. otherwise i would get a grinding sound Then I discovered if you doubl...

by now I pretty much just shift by how it feels; it's actually just pretty much automatic for how long it usually takes to accelerate/decelerate, etc, for me... so the sound of the engine is not such a big deal.

My driving school was full of racing enthusiasts, so they advocated manuals, but ironically didn't teach it. They said it would be too much liability for them because it's so easy to mess up when you're learning, ie if you stall in the middle of a highway drive?? They weren't up for it. The school g...

Ohh man, the speedbumps at my school are HORRENDOUS. It's a new school building, and well, first, the speedbumps were like 10 inches on an incline of at least 55 degrees. What we ended up with was half of the cars having huuuuge scratches on the bottom. There were many complaints resulting in a huge...

3 - people who drive 45 in a 55mph zone and then keep going 45 right through my 25mph neigborhood AHh! YES!! I hate that!! There is this two-lane highway near my house, where the speed limit is 55. It's a nice relaxing break from driving slow all the time. Unfortunately, there is ALWAYS someone at ...

What is the difference between a mini-van and a regular van? Did someone just decide they want vans to SOUND smaller by adding a mini-? But not actually having it be something different?

In Washington state: At 15, you can get a permit (meaning you can drive if someone who has had their license for over 5 years is in the passenger seat) if you are enrolled in a driver's education class. At 15 1/2, you can get a permit without being in a class, if you pass a written test, which you n...
