Re: New to driving stick
Seems as if when I just drive without thinking about it, I do better. :D Yeah, I think that's true for most people. If you don't think about it as much, it will eventually become second-nature. It's almost like muscle memory, where you just go through the motions without having to think about what ...

Re: Why fast cars suck
a lot of the enjoyment of a high powered car is the whiplash from the g's, even if your only accelerating to the speed limit. for everything else, theres track days, hill climbs and skid pans

Re: Subaru BRZ 70% manual take rate
I guess its a car. They are outside and things are going to happen to them. As long as your not deliberately beating the crap out of it then its ok. This is roughly how I look at it. Yes, I want to protect it. But it is just a giant, very useful, very expensive tool. And when you use tools, eventua...

Re: Subaru BRZ 70% manual take rate
my car is in showroom condition. i made it that way after hours and hours and hours of detailing. the car is the most expensive piece of vanity i possess, i cant risk it being hit or ruined in anyway, cos my wallet will tear my asshole apart in revenge for the repair costs. it also has extremely sti...

Re: New to driving stick
Good. As long as nothings up with my gearbox, it's really not a big deal throwing it in 1st before R. Also, how bad is it when engaging 1st, you don't give it enough gas and your RPMs falling causing vibration? Im not sure this constitutes as lugging. I've been doing it too much. My clutch catches ...

Re: New to driving stick
idk, never tried however when i blip it sounds exactly as it does in the video Well, give it a try and let me know how it sounded. I bet it will sound a lot like it did in the video, of course allowing for the fact that you have a completely different car. tried it. sounded like a power shift but i...

Re: New to driving stick
Also, for passing someone on a highway, do you guys just do the "on gas" rev match method and do it VERY quick to minimize wear? I don't care how fast you are at regular single clutch rev matching (clutch in/foot off, blip, back on) if you really got to get in the other lane and a car is ...

but with such a light car and power not too far off from an wrx sti, trap speeds should be similar.

it will probably have the same engine it always had.bk7794 wrote:I Wonder what the new wrx will have. A 2.0? with the same engine?
with 280hp, the brz sti should be pulling in the mid 12's to very low 13's easily, assumung the weight is still gonna stay around 1200-1300kg
