The reverse thing you're doing fine. I rarely ( unless I'm in a real hurry ) let my clutch out all the way while reversing. On the other hand, my speed bump strategy is different. For the speed bumps, they are spaced out far enough where I find myself slowly getting up to 30mph. I would roll over them but I prefer to slow down to avoid wearing down my suspension. I look at it this way: 10 speed bumps a day (coming / leaving work) x 5 work days a week x 52 weeks a year = 2,600...
