With the Walkman, have to assume Starlord.

Yes, everyone in the parade was in a costume of some sort.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

So, I was in a parade over the weekend. Ahead of me a ways was a nice old Jag. The parade stopped for about 10 minutes and none of us could figure out why. Came upon a coolant puddle and about a block away was this Jag letting off spurts of steam/smoke. https://scontent-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Looking for FoST vs FiST? Glad I stopped by. To me, they felt quite similar in normal driving. The FiST was a little more chuckable when I was playing in corners (very go kart like) but overall the FoST felt better in all respects and more stable at speed. I'd highly recommend trying to find a deale...

Re: Thoughts on car stereotypes?

Around here, over 90% of Jeeps are lifted. Most are bought this way from the dealer, with the lifts and tires and bumpers as dealer-installed accessories before purchase, with costs bundled into financing. Seeing a stock Jeep once, I caught myself thinking that it looked lowered. Not used to it. Th...

Re: 2015 Mustang v 2015 Subaru WRX

Yea, try both but I'd say go for the Subie if if it's close since if you got the Mustang you'd wish you had a V8.

Part of why I chose the FoST over the Mustang from Fords stable, I knew I'd always be wishing I had the V8.

Nice whip!! How does it feel to have torques and powers now?? Edit: I assume new car also has block heater plug and it's either not in the shot or hidden better than on old car?? 8) Feels great to have power, but was nerve wracking driving it out of the showroom. The Focus just wants to go with the...

I'd imagine there would be more wear than running at nominal temps but not a substantial amount more as usually the trans warms up pretty quickly and minimizes the time in the extra wear zone.

Re: Project Christine slo Hackensteinberg

So yeah, consensus is unanimous here and elsewhere, go ahead and run it. I'm gonna start it and see if any smoke puffs out near the heads while it's cold. If so, HG. If not, and if not much smoke in exhaust, maybe all the smoke I saw was just from the wet test and from spills while working. Then I'...

Re: Just a couple of cars I saw lately

Saw a Fisker Karma couple days ago at work. Left running, parked in the handicap stall... Left running? How is it possible to leave a Fisker Karma running? As far as I remember, the IC engine just charges the batteries when the vehicle is stopped, no? Well, the lights were on and the generator was ...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi

Wow, I cannot believe that anything could best Kroil for seized hardware. That stuff is magic, especially if the price is right >_>

Though I can see the theory behind thinning the ATF, but I wonder if general MIL-5606 hydraulic fluid thinned down may be better?
