Setting off for CO this Friday with plan to arrive to our new house on Sunday evening. Stopping in Lubbock for a day to see the GF's family.
You've been good to me for 9 years, Texas, but I can't wait to leave.

My 'Runner
What up my dudes. Been a long time since I've been on this site, and many of you know that I no longer own a manual vehicle. Additionally, I've recently sold my (manual) motorcycle that I've had for 4 years, so I officially have no manual gas-powered vehicle in my home. The bike money is for a sled ...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
OH NOES!! what about when you get to CO, won't you want to ride your motorcycle through the hills and dales there?? :o  :| :?: I'd be more interested in offroad things than onroad things, really. Would rather have a side by side I can haul to the trailheads than road riding. Or a snowmobile....

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Ya'll still here, I see. Just checking in, although I've not owned a manual car for a while now. I guess I'll stay for now since I do own a manual motorcycle still, although it may go as well. After 5 years of riding I'm thinking about hanging it up. Bored of it, mostly, and it seems that driver di...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Update and life and job and such: Did I tell you dudes I started a new jerb a couple of months ago? Been focusing on that, obviously. Happy with the company, happy with the folks I work with, but the project I'm on is a bit of a mess and isn't the most exciting thing ever. I'm not too enthused about...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Had experience with current UConnect. It’s good, but not the end all as often portrayed online. It's fast to connect to a smart phone, but my experience was that it was glitchy. Did you experience the loud, full-volume buzzing that couldn't be reset by shutting the car off? Especially using Android...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Leeches ES something something. Edit: why do those graphics look like they'd fit well in the Windows 3.1 operating system? Toyota's infotainment isn't great. Granted, they have done better with some of the '19 models, but my '19 4Runner isn't much better, really. That and the 6.4 inch screen are......

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Eye yam sew prowd off maboy. Drove out to Richard Bong State Recreation Area in Wisconsin, pulling my Coleman pop-up camping trailer, to take my 3-year-old grandson camping. Trailer is 2,650 Lbs. empty - I'm guessing that it is easily over 3,000 Lbs. with everything we had packed in it. Not all the...

Re: I'm starting to get depressed about the automotive future
I've always been a fan of the manuals and I've driven them for a long time. Up until a few years ago I didn't even consider buying a new car if it wasn't automatic. And that hurt my selection big time. But things have changed, and I was forced to change with them. Now, I've not abandoned my love of ...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Overall in regards to CO, this is still the plan. It got delayed a little bit since the new job was found here rather than in CO, but I think it's rather temporary. The GF is moving into my apartment this coming weekend (  ). We are riding out the end of my lease, which is at the end ...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
I guess I better update the vehicles in my sig and the profile while I'm at it. what does ORP stand for?? Off Road Premium. There are Off Road and Off Road Premium trims of the TRD spec. Not much difference, just some creature comforts. Started a new job last week. Left the massive international co...
