Re: Does Wax Go Bad?
What happens if you use deteriorated carnauba? My dad's truck. That's what happens. If you detailed it perfectly, crossed every I and dotted every T, it'll still look good. However, it just plain won't look good enough. That's why we cracked open some new wax and put two more coats on real, real he...

Re: Stuck on uphill side of bridge for 1 hour - towing 3000 lbs!
Since the time of my initial post, I found out that my vehicle has "Hill Start Assist", which helps you launch on hills >/= 7% slope by holding the brakes applied for a few seconds or until the throttle is tickled. I was thinking that my use of low range on the transfer case was responsib...

Re: Looking at a CTS-V.... some questions
I just thought of a good one: Hot water (and a plastic putty knife). You know that won't hurt the car. That sounds good. I don't know if you can see in the rear bumper picture, but I have a bit of haze on the left side (where I had to remove a sticker). I heated it up and just used my fingernail to...

Re: Does Wax Go Bad?
Not sure about liquid, but I used some 2 year old hard shell carnauba wax on the weekend. There was a dried out portion on the top, but once I cleaned that off with a rag, the rest of it went on fine.

Whatever may be the reason, the number of proficient female drivers is very small.

The only question is Magnaflows or Flowmasters . Appears to be quite the debate about it on the mustang forums.

Re: Looking at a CTS-V.... some questions
Unfortunately not me! The car actually went to a buddy of mine who was interested as well. I have mixed feelings about it, it was more than I wanted to pay for a used car, but the deal was out of this world. I still get to drive in it though :P I've consoled myself with an 03 Mustang GT 8). Previous...

Looking at a CTS-V.... some questions
Well, the Cobalt has been treating me well, but I'm starving for something with a bit more power. I've found a really nice CTS-V that's about 3 hours away from me, and it's a damned good price. This is the car in question: http://halifax.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-2005-Cadillac-CTS-V-Sedan-MUST-...

Re: Launch question for a BMW 335i
First, don't worry too much about your clutch. It's made to slip, and a little extra wear when you're just learning is normal. Ideally, you want to be letting your clutch out in a smooth motion and slowly applying gas as your clutch engages. Your RPM's should be around the 1000-1300 mark (for my car...
