Bawked's Honda Replacement

Soooo I got sick of fwd, even though the Euro R is quite a nice car. It's 1400kg and doesn't have enough torque. So a 3.2L V6 should sort that issue, and maybe some AWD for fun  http://i.imgur.com/8dc0aX2.jpg http://i.imgur.com/sJlQMUx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1Xwp2rx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/y...

Bawked's Honda army

Long time no see shifters, finally upgraded from one honda to another so thought I'd share 1992 Honda Accord - sub 100hp, 5 speed manual, beater while I was at uni  http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn169/bawked/IMG_0289.jpg 2003 Honda Accord Euro R - k20a, 6 speed manual http://i304.photobuck...

Re: Not a car....

Haha carbs aren't that bad, my honda is the amazing.. it starts, idles and runs like a fuel injected car. The bike just needs a touch of choke until warmed up, otherwise no probs  Yeah I was playing it up a bit. I sure wouldn't describe mine as "starts, idles and runs like a fuel injected car"...

Re: Not a car....

Seems like a cool bike! Plan to get a derestricted CDI at some point so I can enjoy the full potential this engine can deliver (pre 93 were 45hp). What does that mean? and i just realized i've never owned a carbureted car :| You're missing out! Finicky automatic chokes, difficult starting, sitting ...

Not a car....

After contemplating buying a new car.... I decided screw it, I'm getting a bike instead. For those not in the know, it's 1993 Kawasaki zxr250c... 40hp, 18,000 rpm, 4 cylinder 250cc. Plan to get a derestricted CDI at some point so I can enjoy the full potential this engine can deliver (pre 93 were 45...

Re: Light Years Ahead

That was a good discussion, good to see GM moving towards lighter structures. Lightness breeds better performance, handling and economy! Good to have the chief engineer there, seemed very knowledgeable and emphasised doing the basics right Whoa! There's an SN I haven't seen in a long time. It has b...

Re: Can you hold the gas while downshift revmatching?

To asking the original posters question: yes

tbh when you blip the revs are only into the correct range for a split second, if you are accurate enough to hold the revs exactly where they need to be then its possibly a better way to downshift!
