I learned in a '94 Accord. My dad managed to teach both me and my brother in it and it survived.

Is it one of those massive Land Cruisers (or do they make smaller ones?). Those things waste too much gas.

Re: Thanks!

I actually drove pretty darn well today too...hmmm...maybe I'm just thinking about all the technicals too much instead of *just driving*! My brother always used to tell me the same thing when I was learning: "You're not as bad as you think you are...shut up and drive!!!". haha. It worked ...

Tell your friend not to sell you a car unless it passes the inspection :) . In general though, Honda's run forever. My sister's '94 Accord still runs beautifully. Keep in mind that you could probably find a used Honda that doesn't need any fixing up for the same or slightly higher price of $2500.00....

What's wrong with FWD? I have trouble driving RWD cars, especially when there's snow. Maybe I'm just used to FWD.

Some people leave the clutch engaged the whole time they're stopped? My parents would yell at me when I did that as a beginner, but I guess it also depends on how long you're stopped at the light for.

I don't understand #4, is there a reason why they don't use the break?

I think ReckLess was speaking in terms of U.S. currency. I don't think he was talking in terms of Pesos...because 45 Pesos is like 80 cents. lol.

I like the analogy "...weaving rope or starting fires with flint and steel." It seems like some companies are more manual oriented than others. Like last time I went to an Acura dealership w/ my friend manuals occupied almost half of the lot (and this was a big dealership). So I guess as l...

haha yeah in the long run I was happy that I learned in one, cuz I didn't know anything else. Most people these days (mainly Americans) are so lazy though, they just wanna push something and go. Just like bumper cars! :D

I personally learned on a stick from the start, but for some people learning the rules of the road first without having to worry about a stick helps them make the transition easier.
