Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Volvo Drops Cars from a Crane for Rescue Training I'm guessing they dropped the cars 30 meters and the US press picked it up as 100 feet. I feel safer now, knowing that if I'm ever driving through a junkyard in Sweden and the evil guy picks my vehicle up with a magnet and then drops it from 30 mete...

Re: I think I found the worst thing about interior design for manual transmission cars
That's not OP. This is page 2. It reads like a bot post...Some odd linguistics ("cannot find true buyer," "mop my cotton sheet," "i stuck with previous one..."), non sequitur with the rest of the topic, and involving a BMW. Probably will come back and add some SEO links to the post or profile after ...

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
With I-75 undergoing a major reconstruction project in the area between my home and my place of employment, and many of the roads crossing under the freeway experiencing sporadic closures due to freeway overpass construction, it sometimes gets to the point that I have to check with Google Maps on h...

Re: Tire Rotation
The consensus I'm seeing is that tread separation subsequent to cross-rotation was a problem with early radials, not with bias ply or modern radials, but the yoostabee/myth persists in some circles. All cars will wear the fronts first because they do most of the steering, most of the braking, and (u...

Re: A standard is standard on this new (revived) model
It talks about the Ranger's engine. Ranger itself is not yet in on the party, but may be when it moves to be more heavily based on the Bronco for the next gen.

Re: A standard is standard on this new (revived) model
as IMBoring pointed out, the 1st gear is a creeper gear, probably like in the new Bronco. Not sure if that's their way of skipping having a low range transfer case, nor if it's a good substitute. eye remember them having the 5 speeds with the 1st gear semi-creeper back inn the 90s, but i believe th...

Re: A standard is standard on this new (revived) model
They have the first gear labeled with a C for crawler. It wouldn't normally be used on the road, leaving six commonly used cogs. Power should be fine, though it is unfortunate they don't let you have the six with the manual. I don't feel compelled to skip anything in the six-speed C4, though GM thou...

Re: 2021 Honda Accord sedan only automatic
Automatics have plenty of failure modes, but most of them tend to give at least enough warning that if you pay close attention on a test drive you can reasonably expect to at least get home without pondering having to remove the driveline.

Re: 2021 Honda Accord sedan only automatic
As they should be. Automatics tend to be more expensive to fix when they go bad, but abusing a manual doesn't necessarily require malice and they have more failure modes that can happen suddenly after showing no signs on a test-drive. I've lost two slave cylinders, both going with no warning and nee...

Re: 2021 Nissan Frontier - here we go again...
Tacoma has always been a whack-a-mole with the availability of the manual, as far as what packages and options you can get. It's apparently now down to the three TRD trims and not available in the Double Cab long bed.

Re: 2001 S10 2.2L engine cuts out on freeway
Could be related. I had an evap system code and an intermittent miss on my Grand Marquis. I replaced the part in question and it took a while to clear but all is well again.
