I say fvck him over with his insurance.. make sure you dont fix anything meanwhile. Get the insurance to do a quote on it and and get a dealership to quote on the fix. they charge alot on parts and labour so you screw him good. +1, you need to stick this one right in his face after the way he acted...

Re: Should you slip the clutch when moving 1-3MPH?

Purelife is right, as long as your car is moving, in first with the clutch engaged, the car will just cruise at around 2-3 mph under idleing. Its not hard to get that going either, even with the rx-8's torque i can pull it off no problem.

Fuel cut off really sucks :( (mine's at 9200) but hey you got to protect your engine right? I want to try some of the rotaries that goes 10k!!! I read somewhere that the rx-8's renesis has been tested at 13k RPM . Now i don't know how long the apex seals will last with it reving that high, a...

I would assume if you could have 2 or 3, you could just go ahead and have more. I dont see anything wrong with the idea, just that we wont see them on the market with more than 2 because that would make the car cost too much and probably be even more thursty than the 2-rotor renesis in the rx-8. A 2...

The RX-8 redlines at 9000 RPM. The tach goes up to 10k, but I think fuel cutoff is at 9500. http://images.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/images/vehicles/gallery/RX8/pho_gallery_RX8_int5.jpg I think my 3 redlines at a wimpy 6500. I rarely go above 4000. Yes the rx-8 does redline at 9000 RPM with 9500 RPM fuel...
