You're going to love this car! I have a huge grin everytime I take it out for a spin. Just try to get comfortable driving a manual before you purchase the g because it's not as forgiving as your hondas, and vw.

I haven't driven a 115hp jetta, but from the numbers I'd guess that the newer jetta would have a better launch. Factory turbos are tuned down mainly for warranty so there's a lot untouched power there. The chip that goes on the ecu (sometimes they just flash the ecu, overriding oem settings) basical...

I'm mostly a city driver, I'm just really concerned with the take. I really hated the take off I got with my old jetta, I just don't want the samething to happen with the 1.8T.... But since they1.8T and 2.8) have very close 0-60 times(7.7 for the Turbo and about 8 for the 2.8) , what does that mean...

It's because of the small turbo

there's virtually no turbo lag in the 1.8T
