That's nothing. I've bent 4 valves, broken 2 cam shafts and torn 3 timing belts in my 8.

Actually you can. It's a decent manual - not too bad at all. You can get the IS250 with a manual. But it's a 3500 lb car with a little 2.5L V6 that makes a modest 204 HP. The IS350 has a 3.5L V6 with 306 HP. That's the engine you'd want. But Lexus won't give it to you with a stick. So you buy an In...

Are you kidding? Nissan has the 350z and the GT-R. Infiniti has the G35 coupe/sedan, the EX crossover and the FX SUV.

I drove a Yaris recently and hated every minute of it. The 4-speed auto was clunky, it was always strained for power, the brakes sucked, and the hatch was pointless. There was no room behind the back seats. The Corolla is that car that your grandmother drives at half the speed limit in the fast lane...

Assuming you have a belt or a chain to replace.

A friend of mine has a fairly new Tiberon that's still under warranty, he needs to get the clutch replaced but they're still going to charge him for the parts on that, which is like $600 at this dealer. Why? They view the clutch as being a normal wear and tear item and the customer should pay for i...

I got stuck in a couple inches of slush in my parents' driveway. Summer tires and rear-wheel drive didn't help. Trying to rock a 6-speed is kind of tricky too. Not only is my reverse in the opposite corner from 1st, but I have to push the stick down like a plunger to avoid getting 6th.

I've noticed on my car (which has stock HIDs) that the right side is aimed a little higher than the left. This is to illuminate road-side signs without blinding oncoming drivers. I still get flashed occasionally by people who think I've got my high beams on. I just flash them back. The HIDs ar...

I'll take a Boxster S! 295 HP, mid-engine flat-6, rear wheel drive, convertible, and only 3000 lbs. How could it get any better?

Really depends on the model. For example: Mazda 3 is very much Mazda. Mazda B4000 pickup truck is very much a Ford Ranger. And the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan are basically a Mazda 6. Regardless, Ford only owns a 33% stake in Mazda. I believe they own Volvo and Jaguar outright... atleast for now.

Probably a good habit to floor both the clutch and the brake when you start up an MT car. I always set the parking brake when I park, but I've been in situations where somebody else has driven my car and just left it in gear. Then I wonder why my car starts rolling when I floor the clutch to start t...

I wonder if the Altima Coupe would be any better than the sedan? It's a nice looking car and I hear they're selling pretty well. Maybe Nissan tightened things up a bit in the coupe.

I read that the CVT practically lugs the engine in order to increase fuel economy.

Protege5! It's practical (being a 5-door), fun to drive (being a Mazda) and it looks cooler than any of those other options.
