My S-10 had two bubbly paint/rust spots on the drivers side door and cab corner. I had a nice dry weekend so I fixed them.
I peeled the lose paint off and wire brushed it.
Sanded it down with a power sander and taped it off, ready for primer.
Primer is on.
Painted!

Looks like good work. I'd probably not be able to get anything near that good on any of the cars I have.
My Blazer and Malibu are barely worth painting, the mechanical gubbins notwithstanding.

tankinbeans - Thanks! It was my first time doing anything like that, so I was really glad it turned out as good as it did.

I should ask if he'll come over and touch up a few paint chips in my hood. I can pay him all the cookies he wants.theholycow wrote:Cripes, that was your first time? That's nuts!

Necro'd! If he wants to do the roof of the civic, I can get my wife to whip up some dessert too!tankinbeans wrote:I should ask if he'll come over and touch up a few paint chips in my hood. I can pay him all the cookies he wants.theholycow wrote:Cripes, that was your first time? That's nuts!

Great job, man! I'm not doing the repaint on my current project, but all the metal work is mine alone. Props, bro.
