this is kinda tricky with standard, its like heel and toe, try and follow me. hold clutch all the way down, put it in first. using right foot, you will have use your toe to step on brake and use your heel on gas, rev it high enough lets say 3000 and ease off clutch till wheels start spinning..all the while you are stepping on brakes. this is easier on rear wheel drive though. wouldn't do this too often, hard on brakes, tranny and engine!

re:
based on previous post...
1.) shift to first gear
2.) don't relase the clutch just hold it there
3.) rev high hold that about a second or two
4.) relase the clutch and step on the gas at the same time <--- this step is very quick if your slow the car will stall

no it wont, dropping the clutch at anything above 2K rpms and the car wont stallReckLess wrote:based on previous post...

how to do a burnout:
Front wheel drive, (best way to do it in my opinion)
1.) Stick the car in reverse, back up to about a 5mph Roll
2.) while still rolling, put in the clutch and stick the car in 1st
3.) Rev to about 3000RPM or so,
4.) And at the SAME TIME you dump the clutch, yank the E-brake
5.) The car will stay in place and u can smoke them as long as you please
6.) when you are done, or the RPMs start dropping below 3000RPM, release the E-brake and drive off
Rear Wheel Drive,
If the heel-toe thing is too complicated for u, this works too
1.) Stick the car in reverse, back up to about a 5mph Roll
2.) while still rolling, put in the clutch and stick the car in 1st
3.) Rev to about 3000RPM or so,
4.) And IMMEDIATELY AFTER you dump the clutch, stomp the brake and let em roast,
5.) The car will stay in place and u can smoke them as long as you please
6.) when you are done, just let go of the break and drive off, but be prepared to countersteer as the car might whip over to the sides.
7.) Sit back and look at the pretty black lines painted on the pavement!

Gearjammer, you said hold the brake and rev high at the same time releasing the clutch, how can your the rear wheels spin if you hold the brake, if it does spin, does it wear out your rear brake pads? i'm myself have never done burnout before. I usually do rev high and pop the clutch, thats not really a burnout but it sounds cool, and doesn't wear the clutch that much.
