Chevrolet Colorado 6 speed manual
I just found out this vehicle existed with a manual transmission today. Thoughts?

On a side note, I really hope Ford brings a truck to compete with this.

Re: Chevrolet Colorado 6 speed manual
It's going to sound like blasphemy, but for the most part, I don't care about manuals in trucks. Of course, a manual Cummins Ram is awesome, but for a Colorado - meh.
Overall, it's too new, so incentives aren't great on them. I don't think there even were any recently. Without incentives, it makes very little sense financially because the incentives on half tons are too damned good, especially here in the south. Unless there are better incentives, there are few who would specifically buy a smaller truck for just about the price of the larger truck (after incentives).

Re: Chevrolet Colorado 6 speed manual
Personally I need something on the smaller side. An F150 sized truck would not fit in my driveway and would be very cumbersome to drive in tight places.
I think this is kind of cool, hope it sells well.

1 vote for trading in or selling both civics toward a manual fit
...and this coming from the SS Traitor!!

I do like the looks of the Fit, and they certainly are as practical as you can get with their size.

I'm not going to lie, but they kind of missed it in terms of design for the Fit.
I'm thinking of getting a Ranger and turning it into a potential camper vehicle in the back with a cap. Poor mans camper. Maybe get a 5.0 LX foxbody as a project car/weekend cruiser.

That could be a good fleet with lots of parts, tools, and techniques in common.bk7794 wrote:I'm thinking of getting a Ranger and turning it into a potential camper vehicle in the back with a cap. Poor mans camper. Maybe get a 5.0 LX foxbody as a project car/weekend cruiser.
They do make actual campers for compact pickups. This one looks like a pop-up or hi-lo style:
...and a traditional pickup camper:
Though of course a plain cap and half-ass camping inside it would be more low-profile, versatile, lightweight, etc.

I'm sure there are some bridges this wouldn't fit under.
