Possible Swirl Marks?
Okay so I have washed my car twice already and I just found out you're supposed to use 2 buckets! Also i found this video with this guy drying the car by putting the microfiber towel ontop of it and removing it while I just go left right left right kind of motion.
I'm asking since it's winter adn there's barely any sunlight i can check.

You will have swirl marks. On a car driven daily-forget about it. It is virtually impossible to do without them or some kinda paint blemish.

Holy crap. So many hours of effort and dollars of supplies put in over the course of a few years...might as well just get a second job and get the car repainted once a year.

A good day-long detail is therapeutic for many. Hurts like a bitch the next day, but its worth it

I wash my car by spraying it with the garden hose a few times in the summer.

4x4s look far better covered in mud.

Re: Possible Swirl Marks?
i'm confused as to why two buckets...to rinse the car, i just run the hose over it and then dry it with old bath towels...i'm not picky. she's an old car (13 years) and so are the family cars that i was this way. maybe if i were to get a vette or something sexy like the ferrari i saw saturday...but my daily driver?
Re: Possible Swirl Marks?
one bucket is dirty water where the towel is rinsed and the other is clean soapy water that the towel goes into after it's been rinsed.wannabe wrote:i'm confused as to why two buckets...
you don't want to smudge the crap that you just wiped off of your car back onto your car again

Re: Possible Swirl Marks?
why not just use the hose to rinse? or do people not living in a house have access to a hose?
