Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! Well, the 4 door TDI still comes with a 6-speed manual. That one's better anyway ;)

I've called the guy to look at this jeep tomorrow. 4.5" of Rusty's lift. Pretty decent shape, a few minor issues I'm sure. The rocker panels are rusted but I am not concerned with that. If anything rock sliders will be installed instead of the original rockers. ( )

He wants 1800 but is flexible. We'll see. If it's in decent shape overall I will pick it up as a winter/daily/wheeler vehicled.

I'm pretty excited actually!

Good luck! I wouldn't pay over 15 for it with those miles.
Also I never congratulated you on your new steed. :D She's beautiful!

Jeeps around these parts seem to be quite expensive for some reason. For this price often we're talking between 160k to 200k. This is right in the middle and fair. Well, same applies to Civics apparently. Anything below 1200 here and you're lucky if it runs. I'm serious.

It's kind of strange to see how "TDI" is apparently a car model in the States, as here you can pick from a wide range of TDI engines. But then again isn't it the same with petrol engines over there, i.e. you only have the 2.5-liter 5-cylinder one?

Interesting. Here you find comparable cars for hundreds less. I see a bunch for a grand with lower miles that apparently "run great".

Of course I don't see any Sport 4x4s for sale. That one you're checking out isn't a bad deal, especially for your market over there.

$1500-$1600 for it would be a good deal, which is what I'm aiming for.

Wow. How lazy are people? My friend bought this used g20 for parts today. Car doesn't run. He had to get it towed, so he calls AAA. The truck gets there and we push the car out onto the street since the truck is too wide to turn into the driveway on this narrow street. I look down the hill and there's a line of cars. Get this, this woman is just staring at the tow truck! I mouthed to her to just turn down the adjacent street. And then I signaled to her to turn down the street. She waits there for 15 minutes!!!! There was an issue with the hook which is why it took so long. Wtf. This lady held up traffic just so she wouldn't have to turn her wheel a few times? Then she glared at me like I did something wrong :? . I was going to flip her off, but I fought the urge.

Yesterday I was celebrating with some co-workers. Left my car at work, went to a bar at 6pm. Got done at midnight, went and crashed over at a one of the co worker's house.

More drinking tonight. Boy, I'm getting old.

This place is not the end-all, be-all of social hierarchy.

You try to act selfless, constantly talking about how much you "provide" to this place, yet it looks like a front for a very self-centered person, because you're worrying so much about what we think of you.

You're putting way too much priority on an internet forum. It's like walking into a bar and then yelling "WHY ISNT ANYONE LOOKING AT ME"

Nothing negative ever said here will matter in the long-run. You cannot please everyone. Period. Full stop. So don't try to.

There'll always be people that hate and disagree. There'll always be people that get more praise than you. So who gives a shit? Roman is (was? i don't remember him leaving) hilarious and arguably a positive presence because other peoples' superfluous opinions didn't matter to him. It shouldn't matter to you.

You can't force other people to like you. Get over it. There are 6,692,030,276 other people in this world, even if this entire forum hated you (which is obviously not the case), it wouldn't even be a dent in that number.)

There are more important things in life besides earning the imagined approval of a stick-shift help forum.

If you do leave and don't look back, at least learn something from the experience. Hopefully something from this post.

Well-said Phil. Sadly the only way I c an put this, is this: if you are worried so much about what people think of you here or anywhere on a forum - like Phil said - then you have your priorities wrong. You sound like you are insecure about yourself, socially inept and perhaps conceited. Everyone always fit in somewhere so if you don't fit into the crowd that you have around you, then you need to find something else.

I mean, really - your posts lately about loving people on the forums, your appearance, and other little tid-bits of your affections and fetishes are great, but there's a crowd for every conversation and an auto forum isn't it, even given the garbage we discuss here at times.

Who gives a shit about what we here think or other people, for that matter. You need to socialize in person with people like you or whoever. Besides, you probably need to work on your female skills anyway.
