While I have never owned and probably am never going to own something produced by Apple, I don't hate the company. The mindless, brainwashed fanboys, perhaps, but not the company itself or its products. Years ago my dad wanted a portable music player, so I bought him an iPod Mini. Same with my sister, though it was the 1st generation Nano that had just come out. There has been nothing wrong in either of them. It's the culture that some people have built around iPods, iMacs, iPhones and other iThings.

Guys, I miss Bawksey.
I know there are videos and junk still out there, but I would love to see her return. Hearing her voice makes my day, no matter how crappy it's been.
But on the other hand, I realize that it's best for everyone if Bawksey becomes more a legend, a distant memory that people can remember if they want, or forget if they can. It's best for her if she not return. It's best for us.
It's just funny that it's almost been a whole year, /b/. Look how much has changed because of her. Something like the Bawksey phenomenon only happens once in a while. Hell, maybe even once in a lifetime.
Bawksey will become an internet legend, for good or for bad, whether you want it or not.
Lest we forget.

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
I just never saw the point in paying way more money for a product that does the same thing. My ZEN mp3 player has 16 gigs and I got that for about 80 bucks less than an iPod with the same amount of space. Its given me one or 2 times when it froze, but whatever. But that's just me when it comes to electronics. If I can buy an HDMI cable for a buck versus going to a store and paying 50 bucks for one, why not go the 1 dollar route? Same thing with clothes. I bought a pair of jeans for 10 bucks that have lasted me since I was in my junior year of high school. But then again, I'd rather spend my money on car parts and video games....so yeah
Sony motion controller BTW.
Or maybe something like this?1974Alfa5spd wrote: Watch, next will be an integrated camera in a dildo, the iF*ck.

Who's this Bawksey?
edit: Ah, that. What's so special in her? The forum I used to frequent was filled with hyperactive airheads like her, although they didn't make videos in YouTube.

I'm usually the same about most things. I used to be the same about clothes, but then I tried on and bought a 50 dollar pair of jeans and I've never turned back. I hate spending money on clothes, but high quality jeans fit me so much better and are so much more comfortable than cheap Kohl's jeans. I just bought a 70 dollar pair of jeans (most expensive I've ever bought) and I love them. However, I only buy clothes once every few years.FDSpirit wrote:I just never saw the point in paying way more money for a product that does the same thing. I'm not a clothes snob, though. Pretty much all my t-shirts cost <$10. I just like the feel of comfortable jeans that fit. Before I discovered higher quality jeans, I thought I'd just be stuck wearing ill-fitting uncomfortable jeans for the rest of my life.

I'd give you one but then I'd have to kill you.
