I was bored, so I watched some of Jay Leno's Garage videos. It's depressing knowing I'll never be able to afford any of those awesome vehicles.

The one with the Honda S800 (or maybe S600) is my favorite. Full restoration, 9500 RPM, and a noise no street legal car I've ever heard make before.

I hate packing. How I managed to bring all this stuff here and had even some space left for a bottle of whisky?

edit: What the heck? There is a rifle bolt in my kitchen cupboard. A good practical joke would be to hide that on the top shelf...

That's not my ad. I just peruse the free section occasionally for a diamond in the rough (I once came across a 17" HP Laptop that needed some minor repair) and this was at the top one day.
Dude, broken LCD monitors are the tops, man. This one is shot, junk it. This one needs two replacement capacitors, cost of $10 or less. Free new/used $200+ monitor. "I already have five LCDs, man." Fix, sell, profit, buy computer shit or firearms (if you're me, anyway).

So who wants to figure out what job I want? Since I'm working 55-60 hours a week and making minimum wage, I feel like it's time to look for something else after a couple of months.

Change your tax paperwork so that they deduct more up front to guarantee a return. The IRS has a calculator online (blocked here at work so I can't link it.. sorry) that lets you figure your income and deduction amounts so you can determine how far above/below you'll be on what you're paying. I try to set it up where I'll be paying a few percent more than required so I'll get a small return at the end of the year.

I did alright this year. Wife and I filed separately so we could both make use of the rental deduction. Between that and student loans, we made a pretty decent chunk back. Every bit of that is going towards a down payment for a house since we dont want to be renting for much longer if we can help it.

a couple of years ago, my accountant had me have my job add in 5 bucks per paycheck extra for the state so now, instead of owing the state hundreds of dollars, they pay me some money 8)

They're not paying you money; you've given them an interest-free loan and they're finally paying it back.

This is technically correct, though I would rather give them a small loan rather than owing them money. Also, it can have small amounts of interest. It took me a long time to get my 2010 filing back because my wife and I amended it. I ended up getting some interest on it because it took so long to receive. Fun fact to know!
