God I should have taken a video of the wii party we had, one guy kept saying testes and it made everyone laugh endlessly, he implemented it into the songs in rock band. SSMB wii was great, people were bouncing and dying, lots of close calls.

That is by far the coolest looking generation of Buick Electra. They went downhill after that.

Apparently my dad has some American traits as he wanted to go and start the car while I was still packing so that it would warm up :(

There is hope for hymn yet, but don't infer anything genetically upon yourself - I hear that the (reindeer) milkman is related to our Ralph Nader, who has NEVER owned or driven a car (not that this should stop him from trying to write books about automobiles or legislate them out of existence - nor does GM need anyone at the helm who can even spell the word "cra", let alone have any experience in the bidness)Tups wrote:Apparently my dad has some American traits as he wanted to go and start the car while I was still packing so that it would warm up

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
I'm looking at colleges. Do you think I'd be able to commute to a college 1 hour/40 miles away?
Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Would you be able to? Probably. Would you want to after a few days? Unlikely.ElectroGhandi wrote:I'm looking at colleges. Do you think I'd be able to commute to a college 1 hour/40 miles away?
I've heard of people doing that before and I hear it gets old really fast.
If you have no choice it's probably doable, but it would suck a lot.
I'm not even taking into account all the costs of getting there (gas, extra maintenance, etc.).

Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
I think a lot depends on how you can arrange your days. If you can arrange your classes so you ONLY commute 3 days a week, the fuel costs and time on the road might not be worse than for a shorter commute 5 days a week.ElectroGhandi wrote:I'm looking at colleges. Re: Misc Thread VI: Return of the Threadi
Have you considered getting an apartment closer to the college?
I once lived ~15 km away from the campus for three weeks, and commuting by bus was a pain in the ass. Never again!
