F1 or Similiar Type Car Drives on Public Roads in a Movie

Does anyone recall seeing a movie where a young guy, who was mentored by an older guy, drive an F1 car(or similiar car) on public roads, really fast? What is the name of the movie, what's the plot.

Driven.

The plot was a young hot shot race car driver wasn't quite living up to expectations, so the racing team brought in an old veteran (Sylvester Stallone) to help him find his groove. Really it's an excuse to watch F1 racing and see Stallone in a supporting (not leading) role.

"Driven" is not actaully F1 cars, it was based on the CART series (champ cars)

But it was a Mercedes 450SEL 6.9 3-speed! And you can clearly hear the car 'redlining' 4th when it's going pretty slow. And he dangerously runs red lights at high speeds... Listening to the sound is fun, though. Especially the rev-matches in the tunnels.
