Grinding into 2nd when its chilly

Synchros shot? Weird noises while shifting? Not sure what needs to be replaced?

This is what I think is happening too because it goes away after the first few shifts, and shifting more gently seems to help too. I guess im still getting used to the feel of driving a stick/paranoid about causing undue wear.

Thanks, thats kinda what I thought too. I recommend this forum to everyone looking to learn how to drive a manual.

Do you still have your tC? What year was it?

Sweet.

Ive been trying to think of some interior mods to do. So far I've come up with
red under-dash lights (sort of match the paint), red dome lights and carbon fibre vinyl wrapping on some of the interior panels. Have you done any kind of mods to your interior?

I was also thinking of wrapping the mirrors too...good idea or not?

I don't want to derail your thread, but seeing as I have the same car and the same issue I think my post is relevant.

I've also got a new tC and the synchros are a bit wonky for me too. 2nd gear is always difficult and feels "crunchy" when I put it into gear, and sometimes takes a while for the synchros to match up. 3rd gear is also a bit crunchy sometimes, and sometimes 1st gear won't let me in and I have to select a different gear first. I took it to the dealer once and they didn't notice anything wrong with it. At my next service I may push them to change the fluid and/or check it for metal bits.

Did you ever find a "fix" for your problems or did they work themselves out as you put more miles on the car?

Some smell, some do not. Splash doesn't seem any worse than watery urinals.

I mean, unless we're talking about urinals that don't flush at all rather than urinals lacking a pool of water. Then they either have a trap full of urine or direct air exposure to the sewer pipe, both of which would stink. I suppose some sort of trap door/check valve could be used but it would stink too.

I like how this turned into an actual discussion about urinals.

To be fair, he was playing off of a spammer (whose post has since been deleted).

I was very confused until THC said that the spam had been deleted. And I think RP put a picture up that was actually on topic rather than RP-like. I'm impressed, sir.
