brake light

Synchros shot? Weird noises while shifting? Not sure what needs to be replaced?

But now for the serious side of things. The brake warning light should NOT be fixed with black electrical tape. Find out for sure if it is related to the park brake lever switch or not. If not, and it's nothing simple like low fluid level, you need to get it looked at by someone you can trust with your life.

like my uncle.

sometimes it goes off if i press the foot brake in all the way...unfortunatley, it didn't work that way this morning, only last night...and i turned my car off in my parents driveway (had to pick something up on my way) and it was still on when i turned it back on...*sigh*

^ That would be your Dutch Uncle, Ya?

Read in the owner's manual you don't have about that light. If it's just handbrake warning light, fuggetaboutit! If it says "Park the car and call a tow truck" offer to make dinner for your uncle real soon-like.

An owner's manual is a manual transmission that belongs to its owner.

^ Thank Dog! (Did I ever mention I was dyslexic?) I've been worrying so much that I haven't slept since you first posted this on Monday. I mean, your brakes might have failed at any moment and you might have run into and killed someone important.
