What Color?

Post by 1974Alfa5spd »

So I'm picking up on the idea that some time this summer I'm going to strip the Alfa down and repaint/have it repainted. I just don't know what color to paint it.

Colors I like include the color I have now (Ambassador Dark Maroon), "Rosso Alfa" or "Alfa Red", English Racing green, Metallic Light Grey, or Zagato White.

I'm kinda steering towards the lighter colors as they'd be more comfortable during the summers here, but I'm probably the most indecisive person on the planet. So I can't decide at all from the five.

FYI: These are factory colors you could buy the car in.

I picked alfa red, but I'm thinking that a darker red might be nicer. I don't know what the maroon looks like, but if it looks anything like in your sig, I'd go with that.
Two pedals, two feet, too easy.

I'm steering a lot more toward the lighter colors like the metallic silver and white. Red is pushing it a little, but it's not as bad the green and maroon. The green is there because if I go dark (in b4 black joke) I can have a change of pace. And I left the Maroon on there...just cause I still kinda like it, but I wouldn't miss it.

EDIT: I'm gonna throw in my friends vote for the metallic grey. Just so I can keep it all in one place.

I've never much liked the way blue looked on this chassis. There's the Blue Olandese, but that's almost black. And LeMans Blue, which is a little light for my taste, and I want to keep it to factory colors.

Lack of a decent factory blue is a major design flaw, not an excuse.

I say red. But I will always <3 blue. Don't think it would look right on your car though. Kinda like this color on the Camry. Or any car for that matter.

Maybe it's different in person, but in that picture that color is kinda ugly.

Either a dark red/maroon, or a dark blue/navy. The car will look like ass in any light color other than white, and I hate white cars with maybe 3 exceptions
