Fiat 500L
I have a 2015 Fiat 500L. I love it 6 speed manual. I drive uber and lyft and I get comments all the time. One its so roomy in the back and two my driving of a manual transmission.
The car handles great and is easy to fit in the smallest spaces. The manual is the only way to go. I drove a auto 500l and go tired counting one one-thousand for it to move when the gas is stepped on.
I really think it's a crime the manual transmission is not offered on more cars and trucks. I know I would buy them.

welcome to the SS!!
nice car you got there. i take it the L in 500L means long or at least large. the main reason there are so few manual cars offered is the lack of demand in this country. i'm actually a little surprised how many cars are offered with manuals considering the lack of demand. apparently there's either more demand for manuals up in canada, the canadian heads of the car companies have more clout, or those same heads like manuals a lot.

That's the X and you have it backwards. The genesis of the platform is with Fiat.

Re: Fiat 500L
I wanted a all wheel drive fiat 500x. Of course fiat can NOT make it standard manual. All wheel drive comes ONLY in automatic transmission.
When will these dealers learn

Re: Fiat 500L
thats not the dealers fault; most awd cars cannot be had with a manual.dbly1850 wrote:I wanted a all wheel drive fiat 500x. Of course fiat can NOT make it standard manual. All wheel drive comes ONLY in automatic transmission.

i think they do, but that doesn't mean all the other brands have to follow suit.dbly1850 wrote:I thought BMW had a all wheel manual?
here's a list (from last year) of AWD cars with a manual:

FJ Cruiser needs to be axed.
Jeep Wrangler was omitted (Amish since '41).
Jeep Renegade needs to be added.

Maybe they're drivetrain snobs. On the Wrangler, even Rock-Trac is technically 4WD, not AWD.
