It's a party!

Post by Squint »

Decided to replace the Mazda 626 because of its numerous mechanical issues...

Replaced it with a new Lime Green 2011 Ford Fiesta Hatchback SE. And the best part? Not a slush 8)

I'll get pictures up during this week at some point.

Not familiar with which commercial you're referring to, but probably, yes. They only make one green color and it's that Lime Green Squeeze (the official title). It's a nice little car from the first couple hundred miles I've driven.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly how I felt about it. Exactly.

Ah, that commercial. Seen that, and yes that car. Though, I don't have push button start, felt that was an unnecessary option.

It's pretty nice. The suspension isn't luxury car quality (shock and surprised, right?) but the steering is weighted well, and it's got decent power. Obviously, having a 1.6L I4 doesn't give you much get up and go, but I do just fine in traffic, not causing any backups, so I'm not complaining. The steering and handling is above the class level of the car. It doesn't roll much through turns taken at higher than normal speeds and feels solid on the road (again, not like I'm those lefty-turning NASCAR drivers or anything..). Overall, I'm very impressed with what something that was under $18k MSRP does.

Gone 300ish miles, haven't filled it up. So at least decent. Going to fill it up tomorrow morning for the first time (the dealership gave us free tank of gas... as they should have)

Awesome! I drove a yellow/orange Fiesta back in March I think. It was actually quite a damn fun car to drive, much more so than the Fiat 500 Sport I drove recently. Congrats!
