I love how much my car can carry.

In the 2 new photos on the front page you may notice 2 base drums, 4 snare drums and some random band crap stuffed in for good measure. Thats just one of the loads I hauled this weekend :)

I'm not afraid to use 'er, but come the week shes getting a wash, wax and a good clean out as a reward for some good hauling.

Agreed. The versatility of the Golfs and hatchbacks in general is quite useful. I have hauled lots of random crap in mine as well. Anything from Ikea furniture to lamps, TVs, bikes (2 inside) and much, much more.

Momentous occasion! I have done my front brakes.

Thus we begin:
Image
Caliper off, you can see the pads still look pretty good... I know...
Image
Rotor off, now we see the problem....
Image
That may explain the noises coming from my front end for the past year when braking...( I curbed this wheel pretty bad in winter 2009. I thought all I had done was kill the rim.. guess not)

Some ant seize for good measure.

All done

It all went rather well except when I almost stripped the screw holding the drivers side rotor on... was a close call. On the plus side car stops quite well now with no noises or wobbles, It's also stopped pulling to the right when braking >_>
