Those tires got a really good rating, wow. How much, and how much did it cost to mount them?

With a FWD V6, you need some rubber if you're going to be racing off the line. The only thing that they're going to hurt is fuel economy.

Just don't give it too many full-boar starts or you'll end up replacing your transaxle, too.

edit: You've got ABS? I think I seen a tone-wheel in that picture of your wheel hub.

shes a 13 year old michigan salted roads snow whore, your junk will look just like that when its that old.

dont hate on the 245s, i could barely hook the goodyears you can see in the background of the 2nd pic. thats an extra half inch of sidewall on those tires. spinning tires with a 2800rpm launch is weaksauce.

these are 245/40/17s, 1 inch less overall diameter than 245/45s, so even less sidewall but i have a feeling they will hook better anyway just because michelin > goodyear.

i do run 245s, i love how the car looks with mustang rims and 245s, it hits the spot for perfect wheel offset and the mean look from behind when you expect to see pizza cutters and see 245s, they do look wide on my car

i have ABS but my driver side axle doesnt have the trigger wheel so my ABS doesnt work.

the tires were 110 shipped and 20 bucks to mount. they cost 236 a tire new, and as you can see, these have a shit ton of tread on them

and damn do these things stick to the road. its on rails now, i love it.

so my passenger side CV was dislocated, i assume when my mount broke the other day. i pulled it apart and put it back together the right way, and it hasnt made a sound driving to school and back today. looks like i lucked out and will get away with some grease and a new CV boot. couple bucks for that > 60 dollar new axle

Sort of off topic but whatevs. I saw a Viper at a dealer today: 345'S!!! I was lovingly appalled by how wide the looked from the rear.

Hell yea, what can you expect from a car with a 500 horse engine and a truck drivetrain? I wonder if some nice grippy 375's will fit...

yay axle. it finally let go last night when i was leaving the TT hangout and i was talking online to this girl that was there when i left and she said that i spilled parts and fluid on the ground when i was leaving, on top of the sound of someone jackhammering my car. doubt that was fluid, maybe some CV grease, but the axle is poop

got a new axle. 48 dollars out the door at napa, autozone can eat 1 penis with their 60 dollar axles. only problem is that money that i spent on the axle was supposed to be spent on gas to get to autox and autox. so looks like no cone munching for me tomorrow, but at least the car will be fixed as soon as i get off my ass and put the axle in
