There's really no reason not to wear a seatbelt.

Yes, and people who don't are idiots for not wearing one.

People have plenty of dangerous habits/hobbies...if someone wants to not wear their seatbelt, their injury is their problem and I'll accept that the resulting care may be paid out of my tax money (the price I pay for freedom). You won't catch me driving unbelted. I take my risks elsewhere.

Would you believe I've even installed seatbelts on my sofa?

You should install a roll cage too.

I don't know that a roll cage would have helped with a forward ejection...

^ On a related note:

"Ford continues its foray into health and wellness with a car that can monitor the driver's heart activity.

Research engineers in Germany have developed a prototype seat with six sensors that can monitor the heart's electric impulses through clothes and give an early warning as to whether a driver should seek medical attention because of irregularities.

Drivers who have cardiovascular disease are 23 percent more likely to be involved in a car accident. This technology could cut down on such accidents. Researchers say the MyFord Touch system could use the driver's cell phone to alert medical centers, or Sync could engage its emergency assistance function.

This continues a trend for Ford. The carmaker said last week that it is looking to make the car a mobile wellness hub with the ability to monitor glucose and allergen levels.

One challenge, though, is having the heart monitor tell the difference between impending tachycardia and the rush you get when taking a nice, twisty section of road."

...or cartwheeling down a hill!

(I'm SURE there was some ejaculating going on during the middle of that down-hill run)

I do too. It's a smart plan. If they don't want to wear the seat belt, they can walk or drive themselves.
Im in this boat as well. No belty, no drivey. There are some exceptions of course, as there are to every rule. Driving down my private dead-end street from my friend's house at 15mph I could care less.

Corporate policy of wearing seatbelts and Nosmo King applied to all corporately owned vehicles, even the ones we were leasing for personal use. Saying it was corporate policy worked on everyone. Maybe all vehicles should come with a corporate policy.

Have you been in one? And how tall is he? Cause I'm 6' and I was very comfortable in it.
