That's a doughnut. And to do that, it can only be done with a RWD (and some AWD.. i know that rally cars can do this). Doing it with anything else yeild crappy and not very entertaining results.

My beater jetta is a FWD and it does very fun, entertaining doughnuts. I never said it was a burnout; i just said it was the best way to get it out of his system. I think he just wants to hear the tires spin

In a FWD car, put metal cooking sheets under the rear wheels and lock down the e-brake. In an empty parking lot, give it some gas and enjoy sliding!

Hey john, i use to do that same thing when me and my ricer friends use to play around, it brings back memories lol. We'd steal trays from picadilly, and just go on a parking lot and burn away. hehehe those were the days

Same here. We used trays with my old van, but we'd go through them so quickly we graduated to metal sheets. I believe doing that led to the demise of my transmission rather rapidly. :P

I'm sure donuts in reverse with a FWD car is fun and entertaining. :)

I bet it would feel pretty awkward to pilot a reverse doughnut lol (as in it would feel wierd to be driving around ion circles backwards)

Used to do those in the van as well. I got so good at driving that thing backwards that I drove home from work one day - backwards. About 3 miles too. 8)

Yes, I was young and dumb. It was late at nite as well.

Yes. It does wear the brake pads out. Thats when you get a line-lock installed on the front brakes...

Press down hard on the brake pedal, flip the line lock switch on (or hit the button, depends on how you hook yours up), rev the motor, dump the clutch, watch as your rear tires go up in smoke, release line lock, be prepared to counter-steer...

Line locks FTW, but it's more fun to have the car ready to get sidewayz during a burnout. ;)
