Yes, it is possible to swap this engine into a RSX using the RSX 6 speed tranny. However, why would you spend 10 grand (yes, this motor costs 10 grand) to get gains from 210hp to 240? Not smart

sentimental values? i dont understand why people always ask me why i dont put like 5 grand in my car? like its an old beater im not gonna waste it

Doesn't matter. Same weight and Camaro had 50 more hp. Up until this gen of Mustang I had as much HP at the wheels as Mustang GT's made at the crank. And my car was stock...285 rwhp and 310 rwtq. That's somewhere around 340 or so hp at the crank, definitely not the 305 hp quoted from GM for that year. Even if that Camaro only had 305 hp, I think the new Mustang GT's still only have 300 hp.

You're right - it wouldn't matter. Here's an article comparing 2001 Mustang GT to 2001 Camaro Z28. Camaro wins when it comes to speed:

And this thread is about speed. You want to argue how good a car is at commuting, or how luxurious the interior is, take it to Tranny Talk,

i think the new mustangs are a bit faster than than LT1 TAs, maybe if he had a manual it would be close. the 98+ TAs are faster though with the ls1

the new mustangs are kinda ugly, and still out performed by 9 year old camaros and TAs. dunno why ford keeps doing the 4.6 engine. the only mustangs i like are the 429 boss, and the 03 cobras are pretty nasty, 69 shelby gt500, and the 5.0s

The 03 and 04 Cobras (which are almost the same) are using the 4.6 L motor. That 4.6 L is a nasty engine, when done up right.

The newer 4.6 L is a SOHC, while the older was a DOHC.

One dude in Best Motoring American Touge 2 has a CRX with a supercharged K engine. 285hp on 2000lbs.

And the K's torque curve is much flatter, although you no longer have the "VTEC just kicked in" feel.
