That's good to know.
I was thinking that it may have just been a simple "as it is" engine drop, since 6's are manufactures in the states. I have had nothing but bad luck with Duratec engines...

I'd still rather take the Speed6 over the V6 since they both are pretty close in price, and the speed6 is more sport tuned with AWD

My Mom's Mercury had the 2.0L Zetec in it and it was pretty smoothe and sporty sounding, gave no fuss at revving up high, and got pretty good gas mielage. Have no idea how good the Duratecs are but when I went to the Mazda dealer back home to look at some 6's I got to sit in one and rev it up and the engine sounded SWEET. The one I sat in was a 2006 Mazda6s Hatchback and it had the switchblade key. So the 2006's had 'em for shizzle.
