Sti 1/4 mile time??

Post by A SiK STi »

First off just incase any of you were wondering I got used to MT and now im a PRO AT SHIFTING AFTER ONLY 1 WEEK..LOl j/k. But anyways I was wondering if anyone knows what the 1/4 time on a slightly modded 05 STi is. I only have minor mods on the car..intakes..new exhaust..adjusted boost to 21 lbs.All I have are estimates though, So I was wondering if anyone has a similar STi and knows its 1/4 time and 0-60. Ive got an estimated 315 HP..havent put it on a dyno yet though. AND I EAT EVOS FOR BREAKFAST AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

I've seen the times around 13 seconds, stock. So you can imagine they run 12's with minor modding.

Iwould say high 12's. Also, I doubt those minor mods will put you into 315 awhp. At the crank, maybe, but definately not awhp.

yeah that 315 is definitely at the crank. a lot more mods needed to push that much to the wheels.

I've read somewhere that the STI puts out around 230-240 horsepower at the wheels. Is it just me, or do Subarus have a lot of driveline loss compared to other cars? I know the AWD system would affect things, but by that much?

All AWD vehicles in general have a huge drivetrain power loss. Not jus the STI.

The Mitsubishi Evo (I prefer the STI) puts similar power to the wheels, yet it makes less power at the crank. So what gives?

the AWD systems are quite different between the STi and EVO i believe, so i guess Subaru's just has more drivetrain loss? i dunno, but i do know STi > EVO!
