Personally, I dislike the shifter placement of that generation Mustang. The throws are way too long, and you have to practically get out of your seat to get into 5th.

I haven't driven too many other stick shift cars besides Honda Civics, so it's hard for me to say what car's shifter I like. The shifter in my car isn't worth mentioning - I can't find anything special about it, or anything to fault. Middle-of-the-road, just as all other Hondas are...

Yeah, 5th is pretty damn far away. I'd like to get a short shifter, I just don't have the funds right now.

Here's some of the only pics I have of the shifter that I have. Car's in Arkansas now and i'm in NY on vacation so...this is what i've got. I have been very happy with the shifter. 5th used to seem like eternity away, but that was when I didn't really know what I was doing ;).

does it feel wierd using a stick that they tried to make look like a short throw but really isnt? i dont know, i just think it would feel and look wierd. :?
