put citris in them...
Re: Your Latest Purchase
I would put citrus in them…but sometimes when the cat bothers you at 3AM and you can't see where you're spraying…let's just say citrus in the eyes is not fun.wannabe wrote:awesome!Chris H. wrote:

valid point. keep citris in the kitchen/living room one, and water in bedrooms!Chris H. wrote:I would put citrus in them…but sometimes when the cat bothers you at 3AM and you can't see where you're spraying…let's just say citrus in the eyes is not fun.wannabe wrote:awesome!Chris H. wrote:

Spritz bottles do no good. Squirt guns are the way to go

I just hiss at the cats in my girlfriend's house. Works wonders! Compressed air seems to work too. Dont't actually spray them with it. Just aim it in the opposite direction(not at yourself eithe ) and it scares them pretty quickly. I should buy another laser pointer. The cats love 'em.

Well…there's a flaw with that statement. The cheap spray bottles that hold 32oz at Walgreens (Home and Garden Sprayer) have a pretty good distance. Cats hate even the slightest amount of water, thusly skwirt guns are a bit…much.

Especially true when working on a robotic vacuum cleaner (or a computer) that doesn't want to work properly - and the f**k cat walks right into your work area - so you take said air can and dust it out. Scares them away. far away.FDSpirit wrote: Compressed air seems to work too. Dont't actually spray them with it. My cat keeps attacking through it. I have to hit him directly in the face with a squirt gun for him to back off.Chris H. wrote:watkins wrote:Spritz bottles do no good. Squirt guns are the way to go

Re: Your Latest Purchase
Squirt guns don't work for me because:
1. The cheap ones leak
2. The good ones are huge ridiculous abominations
3. They don't hold much
4. They don't shoot far, except the ones that shoot way too much water
Spritz bottles work great for me because:
1. They are well sealed
2. The cats recognize them well
3. They squirt a precision shot, just the right volume, good distance, decent aim

My Puma Drift Cat IIs are beginning to fall apart and I've been searching for something I like to replace them for months. The Drift Cat IIIs finally came out so I bought them. They'll be here Friday.

I love tax time. Getting a ton of money back, so I bought a lightbar.
Axixtech Torrent, linear-LED heads, over 40 flash patterns, dual-color LED heads in the back that can "transform" from red/blue warning to amber traffic advisor at the flick of a switch. It's currently being custom-built for me at the factory. Can't wait!
